Every day across Contra Costa County, older adults reach out to Meals on Wheels Diablo Region hoping for help with food and connection. Too often, the answer they hear is “you will have to wait.”
Our team is currently providing nutritious meals and vital safety checks to more than 1,900 seniors every week. Sadly, nearly 300 more are still on hold. Your gift will help us say "YES!" to the seniors who need us most.

As we continue to feel the ripple effects of recent SNAP freezes and federal funding cuts, the need for our services is rising. Nearly 300 older adults in Contra Costa County are waiting for us to knock at their door with the meals and support they need to feel nourished, seen, and safe.
At Meals on Wheels Diablo Region, we’ve seen firsthand what a healthy meal and a friendly visit can mean. When Nancy was recovering from a devastating accident, she often went days without food before we reached her. Kim turned to the place she once worked to support other seniors after chronic neuropathy pain left her unable to drive or prepare meals on her own.
